The Govt Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Fee (NCC), Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, on the weekend, devoted his Zik Prize to the board, administration and workers of the Fee for his or her “collective and untiring dedication and efforts” in advancing the course of efficient telecoms regulation within the nation.
Whereas receiving the award within the skilled management class on the annual Zik Prize 2020, organised by Public Coverage Analysis and Evaluation Centre (PPRAC) in Lagos, Danbatta thanked the organisers for the honour, stating that the award was “a recognition for your entire Fee.”
“It’s gratifying that our modest efforts on the Fee, particularly for the reason that approaching board of our management in 2015, is being acknowledged by the organisers of this prestigious award. I convey my profound gratitude to the organisers for counting me worthy of this award and we settle for this gesture as a problem to do extra in digitally advancing our financial system,” Danbatta responded after receiving the award.
The award ceremony was attended by NCC board members, senior administration and workers of the Fee.
